to be a part of it all.

ITINERARY

Day 1, Lima

You will be picked up from the airport in Lima by your private car, which will take you to your hotel in Miraflores, along the coast. Today, you will settle in and rest from your trip. Your guide will be available to explain your journey ahead and answer any questions you may have.

Day 2, Lima (B)

You will enjoy a nice breakfast in your hotel before your guide will pick you up for your guided tour in a private car. Some areas you will visit include: the cathedral, the main square, the San Francisco monastery and catacombs, Miraflores, and San Isidro.

Day 3, Lima to Paracas (B)

You will be picked up after your breakfast by your guide who will escort you to the bus station, for a 4-hour ride to Paracas. Paracas is located south of Lima, on the Pacific coast. Once you arrive, you will be taken to your hotel and enjoy free time. You will be able to relax by the pool, beach, try our sandboarding, or visit the National Reserve.

Day 4, Ballestas Islands to Nazca (B)

After breakfast, we will head to the port for our tour of Ballestas Islands, also known as the “little Galapogos”. Here we will witness incredible marine life and birds. You will go directly from your tour to the bus station for your trip to Nazca, which takes approximately 3 hours. After your trip, you will be picked up and escorted to your hotel.

Day 5, Nazca Lines to Arequipa (B, L)

Today, you will rise early and enjoy a flight over Nazca Lines before your breakfast. These incredible formations in the desert take up over 1000sq meters and are guaranteed to take your breath away. After your flight, you will have your breakfast before visiting the ancient aqueducts of Cantalloc and the nearby ruins. You will then make your way to the bus station for an overnight bus to Arequipa (8 hours), and when you arrive in the morning your private transfer will take you to your
hotel.

Day 6, Arequipa

After your arrival, you will have some time to rest in your hotel before being picked up at 10am for your tour of the city. You will visit sites like the Chilina Balley, San Lorenzo District, the main square and Cathedral and Monastery. Your tour will end at Juanita, the most well-preserved mummy in the Americas. After your tour, the rest of the day is yours to explore or rest.

Day 7, Arequipa to Colca Valley (B)

After your breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel to start your two-day Colca Canyon Tour. Your drive will pass through the Chachani Volcano, Pama de Canahuas Reserve, groups of llamas and alpacas, and the wetlands of Tocra. You can witness lots of various migratory birds and flamingos here. We will stop at the highest point of the trip, Patapampa and enjoy the outstanding views. From here, we will descend to the Colca Valley in Chivay. Here you will go to your hotel and enjoy the afternoon to explore the valley district, visit the hot springs, and enjoy dinner and a show.

Day 8, Arequipa to Colca Valley (B)

You will have an early breakfast before heading further into Colca Valley, where you will get to experience the Cruz del Condor. Here is where you will enjoy the incredible view and hopefully the condors! You will take a walking tour along the Canyon before your return to Chivay. You will get a chance to stop in the beautiful villages along the way and at various viewpoints. After your return, you will take a 6-hour bus to Puno, with stops along the way for sightseeing. You will be met by one of our guides at the bus terminal for your private transfer to your hotel.

Day 9, Lake Titicaca (B, L)

In the morning you will enjoy breakfast before your guided tour of the amazing Lake Titicaca. You will get to visit Uros, the floating reed islands, and see how they are built or take a short trip on a reed boat. Your next stop will be Taquile Island, where the locals have been living for centuries. Your guide will show you around this island on foot before lunch. After eating, you will head back to Puno and transferred back to your hotel. You have an option to spend this night in a family´s home on the Island, if you prefer. Please ask one of our staff for more information.

Day 10, Puno to Cusco (B, L)

You will wake up early today for your drive to the bus station. Here you will board a comfortable tourist bus that will take you to Cusco. Your ride will pass through the Andean highlands and through incredible landscapes. The bus will stop in Incan ruins, markets, and small villages so you can really appreciate your surroundings. The bus will also stop at La Raya, where you will enjoy your lunch. In total, the journey takes about 9 hours, but the stops along the way, it goes quite quickly. You will arrive in Cusco in the late afternoon and be transferred to your hotel.

Day 11, Cusco (B)

This morning you can take your time to rest or explore Cusco on your own. After your lunch, one of our guides will take you to see Cusco and its surroundings. You will visit the Tambo Machay water temple, Puca Pucara fortress, and the temple of Sacsayhuaman. Here you will get an excellent view of the city before ending your day with a short walking tour in the center of Cusco.

Day 12, Sacred Valley (B, L)

Today you will enjoy your full day outing to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You will visit the market in Pisac, where you will get a chance to shop for local handicrafts. After lunch, you will travel to Ollantaytambo to explore the magnificent ruins about the town. Later on in the afternoon, you will take the train from here to Aguas Calientes, the city just at the bottom of Machu Picchu. Your guide will collect you from the train station and escort you to your hotel here.

Day 13, Machu Picchu to Cusco

Today you will wake up early to visit the incredible Machu Picchu. Your guide will get you at your hotel and take you to the bus station, where you will board a 20-minute bus to the forgotten city of the Incas. After enjoying sunrise, your guide will give you a two-hour private tour, and then you will have plenty of time to explore the ruins on your own. In the afternoon, after you have finished enjoying the ruins, you will take the bus down from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes. From here, you will take a train back to Cusco. On your arrival, we will meet you for transfer to your hotel.

Day 14, Cusco to Puerto Maldonado (B, L, D)

Today you will head to the airport for your short flight to Puerto Maldonado, one of Peru´s gateways to the Amazon Jungle. Your guide will await you after you land and be with you throughout your stay here. You will head to the lodge for your permits, visit the town main square, and enjoy the landscape. You will depart from Capitania Port for your lodge by boat. This will take about 40-minutes on the Madre de Dios river before arriving at the amazing lodge where you will be greeted with a cocktail, and your bungalow and lunch await you. After lunch, you will have some
free time to get comfortable in your bungalow, or take a refreshing dip in the pool. At about 3:30, you will get your first interaction with the jungle. You will take a short trek through the tropical trees, witness the nature, and stop at a lookout of the area. Here, you will be able to view the toucans and macaws before returning to the lodge for sunset. You will have free time to rest, enjoy an exotic cocktail, swim in the pool, or relax by the port.
Before enjoying your dinner, you will take a nightly boat safari in the hopes of spotting a white caiman on the river banks. After this, you will have delicious dinner.

Day 15, Tambopata Activities (B, L, D)

This morning you will rise bright and early for a 20-minute trek to the Parrot Clay-Lick. Here you will see 5 or more different specifies feeding on the special clay. This is unlike anything you have ever seen!
You will then have your breakfast at 8:00am and to enjoy free time to explore the gardens before taking a boat along the Madre de Dios River. After about 30-minutes, you will arrive at the Tambopata National Reserve for a trek through the jungle to observe different animals and wildlife.
Your next stop will be the Sandoval Lake, where its secluded location provides various species of animals: Birds (in particular Hoatzins, Kingfisher, and Cormorants), different species of monkeys (Squirrel monkeys, Howler monkeys, Capuchin monkeys). At the lake, we may also get the chance to see the River Otters, Black Caimans, and Piranhas. We will enjoy the sunset on the lake before our return to the river to look for some of the nocturnal animals.
In the evening, you will enjoy some much-deserved rest and a nice meal. Depending on your energy level, you can enjoy cocktails and company at the bar or lay in one of our hammocks. There will also be the option of enjoying a massage by a professional masseur at the lodge.

Day 16, Tambopata Activities (B, L, D)

At about 8 am, you will enjoy breakfast and free time to enjoy the pool or shop for Amazon handicrafts in the shop before returning to the river for a boat ride to visit a native community.
Hopefully we will witness more wildlife along the river before we arrive at the project which supports local native community. This is the largest community in the area, at Gamitada Island, where we will meet local families who will tell us about their culture, ancestors, and customs. We will have a chance to support them and purchase some of their handicrafts.
At about 1pm, we will explore the Island and visit a local farm to witness the tropical fruits and local products. We will rest here to enjoy a typical lunch of the Amazon. Upon return to the lodge, you will have free time to enjoy a bath or the pool, before dinner.
8pm: We will enjoy our meal before you retire to our bar to have some tropical cocktails, relax or
socialize at the central terrace.

Day 17, Puerto Maldonaldo to Lima (B)

After breakfast, you will have to say goodbye to your amazing visit with the jungle and staff at the lodge. Your guide will take you back to the city, shop at the local market, and board your flight to Lima for your journey home.
