DAY 1 - LIMA

Arrival to Lima, reception and transfer by private bus to the Hotel.

DAY 2 - LIMA

After breakfast, full Group city tour of Colonial and Modern Lima, by air conditioned bus with one of our professional bilingual tour guides. This tour includes a visit to see Lima’s colonial Churches, including the Cathedral, San Francisco Convent with its Catacombs; San Martin square and the Main Square (Plaza de Armas), which is flanked by the Government Palace, the City Hall and the Cathedral. You will also visit Lima’s residential areas: San Isidro district with its Olive Groves Park and Miraflores district with its Central Park. You will also take a pleasant drive along the Costa Verde, Lima’s Ocean front, for a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean. Return to your hotel. Free evening.

DAY 3 - Lima - Cusco.

After breakfast, early flight to Cuzco. Upon arrival reception and transfer to the hotel of your choice. By the afternoon, a guided tour around the 4 ruins surrounding Cuzco: the Sacsayhuaman Fortress, whose structure is built in such a way that a single piece of paper will not fit between many of the stones; Kenko, the name of this small but fascinating ruin means Zigzag, it’s a large limestone rock riddled with niches, steps and extraordinary symbolic carvings, including the zigzagging channels that probably gave the site its name; Puka Pukara, which is composed of several lower residential chambers, storerooms and an esplanade with panoramic views; and Tambomachay, which consists of a beautifully wrought ceremonial stone bath, channeling crystalline spring water through fountains that still functions today. Continue to the city tour of Cuzco, the Main Square, the Cathedral and the Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, which in Inca times was literally covered in gold and silver. Dinner and folkloric show in the evening. Return to your hotel.

DAY 4 - Inti Raymi Festival.

The Inti Raymi ("Festival of the Sun") was a religious ceremony of the Inca Empire in honor of the god Inti. It also marked the winter solstice and a new year in the Andes of the Southern Hemisphere. Since 1944, a theatrical representation of the Inti Raymi has been taking place at Sacsayhuamán (1.24 miles from Cuzco). During the Inca Empire, the Inti Raymi was the most important of four ceremonies celebrated in Cuzco, as related by Inca Garcilaso de la Vega. The ceremony was also said to indicate the mythical origin of the Incas, lasting nine days of colorful dances and processions, as well as animal sacrifices to ensure a good cropping season. The last Inti Raymi with the Inca Emperor's presence was carried out in 1535, after which the Spanish conquest and the Catholic Church suppressed it. Some natives participated in similar ceremonies in the years after, but it was completely prohibited in 1572 by the Viceroy Francisco de Toledo, who claimed it was a pagan ceremony opposed to the Catholic faith. In 1944, a historical reconstruction of the Inti Raymi was directed by Faustino Espinoza Navarro and indigenous actors. The first reconstruction was largely based on the chronicles of Garcilaso de la Vega and only referred to the religious ceremony. The staging begins in the Koricancha Temple, continuing to the Main Square of the city and ending at the esplanade of Sacsayhuaman. When the ceremony ends the presentation of folkloric groups begins. DAY 5 - Inti Raymi Sacred Valley.

Full day to Urubamba, better known as the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Sacred Valley is generally understood to include everything between Pisac and Ollantaytambo, parallel to the Urubamba river, or Vilcanota River or Wilcamayu, as this Sacred river is called when passing through the valley, also a visit to the village of Pisac and Pisac Ruins; The village is well known for its market every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday, an event which attracts heavy tourist traffic from nearby Cuzco; Pisac Ruins are famous for the agricultural terraces, which sweep around the south and east flanks of the mountain in huge and graceful curves, almost entirely unbroken by steps, which require great maintenance to avoid erosion. Enjoy a great buffet lunch at the Alhambra Restaurant, after a visit to Ollantaytambo; which it’s the best surviving example of Inca city planning, with narrow cobblestone streets that have been inhabited since the 13th century. Return to Cuzco by the traditional market of Chinchero. Accommodation in your hotel.

DAY 6 - Cusco Machupicchu.

Early departure start by train to Aguas Calientes, a Magnificent guided visit to Macchu Picchu; which means "Old mountain" often referred to as "The Lost City of the Incas" and mentioned as “One of the Seven Wonders”, this fabulous city was built around the year 1450, forgotten for centuries, the site was brought to worldwide attention in 1911 by Hiram Bingham, a North American historian. Machu Picchu was built in the classical Inca style, with polished dry stone walls. Its primary buildings are the Intihuatana, the Temple of the Sun, and the Room of the Three Windows. Surrounded by lush cloud forest, the citadel perches in a mist shrouded mountaintop. After the tour, free time to enjoy this spiritual wonder. A great occasion to see Wayna Picchu (Young Peak); the most famous of several short walks, or the Intipunku (Sun Gate); which its where the Inca Trail ends, both give you a magnificent view of the whole sanctuary. (Note: Wayna Picchu its open from around 6 am until 1pm, and you must return by 4pm and it necessary a Extra Payment). Accommodation at the hotel of your choice.

DAY 7 - Machu Picchu Cusco.

As you know one day it’s not enough to explored the entirely sanctuary that’s why this is a great opportunity to return for personal appreciation to see the Sun Rise and much more (note: the first bus departure at 5:30am, tickets not included). Return in the afternoon by train to Cuzco and transfer to the hotel of your choice.

DAY 8 - Cusco - Lima.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the fight back to Lima and your return flight home.

• Checked-in luggage weight limit on domestic flights is 20 kg (44.09 lb). The fee for excess luggage is US$1.8 per kilo.
• Carry-on luggage for domestic flights cannot exceed 8 kg (17.64 lb).

• The train to Machu Picchu limits passengers to a small luggage of no more than 11 pounds or 5 kilos per person.
